As the skin melanin is accumulated in the upper layer of the skin, hence the skin lightening and peeling can be done. For skin lightening and peeling various products are used. Such as Hydroquinone has been a very popular treatment for skin. Kojic acid is also commonly used. It was discovered in Japan in 1989 and a natural product. It is gentle on the skin. It easily penetrates the supper skin layers. Alpha hydroxy acids is also used. It helps to shed the old cells faster.
